Being told you have unexplained infertility? Feeling a bit lost about how to fix a problem when you don’t know what the problem is? Fear not, a detective like Sherlock Holmes may be able to find the answer!

What is unexplained infertility?

Unexplained infertility usually is the term used where the woman is ovulating regularly, has open fallopian tubes with no adhesions, fibrous growths or endometriosis, and if the man has normal sperm.

In fact, 1 in 10 couples who are trying to conceive may be told that they have unexplained infertility.

How do you fix unexplained infertility?

Typical medical treatments for unexplained infertility would include lifestyle changes, timed intercourse, clomiphene citrate (Clomid), intrauterine insemination (IUI), and controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) with IUI and IVF.

Unfortunately, most of these treatments do not treat the root cause of the problem. For instance, using Clomid to stimulate ovulation in a woman that ovulates regularly naturally can disrupt her normal cycle. In addition, it may have some unpleasant side effects and may even impact her cycle after the medication has stopped. As a matter of fact, I often use a homeopathic detox to restore the natural balance.

How can you get pregnant with unexplained infertility naturally?

The excellent news is that as a homeopath, I do not need a label to treat you.  As you know, there are generally many factors that influence your fertility.

Your body will indeed give all the answers. And my job is to be Sherlock Holmes and look for all the clues!

To ovulate regularly, open tubes, healthy eggs and healthy sperm are all important. But there is so much more to your fertility.  I would honestly be interested in what your body can tell me about any imbalances, not just in your reproductive systems, but all systems.

To take one example, I would not just want to know if you have a regular cycle, but I would ask detailed questions about your period such as colour, length, consistency, pain, discomfort and many more. Your answers would reveal so much to me about your fertility and what needs addressing more importantly.

Your mind is just as important when it comes to unexplained infertility, or any fertility matters to be honest.  How you feel about getting pregnant, your relationship with your partner, previous traumas, abuse, birth trauma…. the list goes on.

Unfortunately, I do not have a magic wand to erase these experiences for you. However, I find homeopathy and EFT are an excellent combination to help you to work through any mental or emotional blocks you may have. Even any fertility anxiety you may have!

Remember, you can get pregnant naturally even with a label of ‘unexplained infertility.
